Joy has experience working with a wide variety of clients and life circumstances. She believes that therapy should first meet people where they are and then work forward to wellness with them from that point.

Everyone starts from a different place, has different life experiences, and stories. Joy feels that to meet someone in their current circumstance and work forward together with them not only empowers them toward their own success but also can positively change their life experience and thus improve whole wellness.

Joy is a certified Trauma and Loss Specialist through the National Institute for Trauma and Loss In Children. She has worked with trauma victims throughout her entire career. Faith based therapy is one of Joy’s favorite parts of her job. She feels that a deeper sense of not only who people are but also their purpose and calling is beneficial in healing.

Joy’s clients describe her as compassionate and empathetic. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, listening to live music, walking, shopping, going out to eat with family and friends, and reading.

All of our therapists are licensed in the State of Ohio and are continually working to keep their skills sharp through further training and education.
